Історія школи
Історія нашої школи своїм корінням сягає сивої давнини.
Майже 200 років тому у Коломиї почали будувати двоповерхові споруди, в одній з яких розміщена наша школа. Перший двоповерховий будинок у східній частині міста (сьогодні ІІ корпус нашої школи) збудований у 1835році. У ньому знаходилась велика лікарня, яка обслуговувала 7 повітів.
Після закінчення Віденського університету з 1892 року у лікарні працював Володимир Кобринський, син Йосафата. Він був один з найвідоміших і найавторитетніших лікарів Галичини. Саме тому, у жовтні 1900 року Іван Франко привіз у Коломию свою хвору дружину Ольгу Хоружинську на лікування до В. Кобринського.
У приміщенні ІІ корпусу нашого школи 1 грудня 1900 р. народився всесвітньовідомий композитор А.Й. Кос-Анатольський, чиї опери, хорові, сольні та естрадні пісні і зараз зачаровують світ.
З 1925 по 1941 роки у приміщенні школи працювала 7-класна народна школа для хлопчиків ім. Тадеуша Костюшка з польською мовою викладання.
Одним з учнів школи був Отто Фон Шоль, німець по національності, з яким нам вдалося налагодити зв’язок. Зараз він проживає в німецькому місті Вюрцбург. Він пише листи, подарував свою книгу, один розділ якої присвячений спогадам про школу.
За всю історію школи директорами працювали: Василь Іванович Сурков (1948-1954 р.р.); Олексій Якович Кіріндас (1954-1990 р.р.); Василь Антонович Григорчук (1990-2002 р.р.); Любов Вікторівна Одверко (з 2002 р. по даний час).
